Kentucky AgVets Educational Stipend
The Kentucky AgVets Program is offering reimbursement stipends to veterans looking to learn more about agriculture.
Who can apply for a stipend? Veterans, Active Duty servicemembers, Guard, and Reserves
What are eligible expenses? Stipends will reimburse registration costs, travel fees and lodging up to $400. Meals not included in the conference registration cannot be reimbursed.

What do I need to apply?
Information for the conference you wish to attend: website, agenda, location, etc.
Estimated costs to attend or participate in conference.
What do I need to do if selected?
Email receipt(s) for conference registration, hotel lodging, and/or class registration.
Email proof of attendance or participation.
For mileage reimbursement, send an email with calculated travel miles when submitting receipts. In the email, please give the address you traveled from and to. Mileage reimbursement will be figured from the IRS issued standard mileage rate at the time of the event you attended.
Submit a short paragraph, after the event, telling what you got out of the event and how it has helped/will help you.
Once selected, how will the funds be delivered? Confirmation of conference registration, hotel confirmation, mileage record, and paragraph must be emailed to lkurtz@kcard.info within 30 days of the conference. Checks will be mailed to the home address listed on the application.
What if I can’t attend the conference? If you are unable to attend the conference for any reason, you must reapply if you’d like to attend another event.
How many times can I apply? You can apply up to twice in one calendar year with a lifetime limit of four times per applicant.
When can I apply? Applications will be accepted 6 times per year with deadlines of February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1, October 1, and December 1. You will be notified within two weeks of the deadline if your application is accepted.
